What you get

  • LocalBusiness schema — name, address, phone, hours, service area
  • Review / AggregateRating markup where reviews exist
  • FAQ schema where FAQ content exists
  • Service or Product schema as applicable
  • Validation against Schema.org, and Google's Rich Results Test for the LocalBusiness markup it still covers
  • A short before/after report showing what was added and how to verify it

Why it matters

Structured data does two different jobs — one for search, one for AI.

72.6% of pages on the first page of Google use schema markup — but only about 30% of websites overall have any.

For search: the knowledge panel

Complete LocalBusiness markup is what feeds Google’s knowledge panel — the box with your hours, address, and details, shown right in the search result when someone looks you up by name.

  • Enriched listings like that get clicked about 58% of the time, compared to 41% for a standard listing.
  • Google's own case studies show real gains from rich results — Rotten Tomatoes saw a 25% higher click-through rate, Nestlé an 82% higher one, on pages that qualified.

For AI: what gets cited

FAQ and review markup work differently — they don't earn a Google search feature, but they're exactly the kind of structured content AI assistants read when deciding who to cite.

  • 71% of pages cited by ChatGPT, and 65% of pages cited by Google's AI Mode, include structured data.
  • Google removed the FAQ search-result dropdown from Search in 2026 — the markup itself is still valid, it just no longer changes how the page looks in a plain Google search. What it still does is make your FAQ content easier for AI assistants to pull directly.
  • Your own testimonials won't earn a star rating in Google search — that's reserved for independent, third-party reviews, not a business reviewing itself — but marked-up, structured content is still what AI assistants read before recommending you.

The honest part

Schema doesn't directly improve rankings — Google has said so repeatedly. What it does is make you eligible for certain search features, like the knowledge panel; Google decides whether to show them, based on the quality and completeness of the markup. Not every schema type on this page even has a search feature attached to it — I'll tell you which is which, rather than let you assume they all work the same way.

What this isn't

  • Ongoing SEO, content, or GBP management — that’s Pro or Growth
  • Hosting, backups, or maintenance — that’s Care Plans
  • Content writing or site edits
  • Any guarantee of rich result placement, star rating, or ranking change
